Based on a content I have found online at http://www.rotlaw.com/smith-nephew-r3/ approximately 7,700 patients are implanted with teh Acetabular system's hip implants since it was introduced last 2007. A few of those patients have suffered problems such as infection, fractures, and dislocations as the reports says. This prompted one company which is Smith & Nephew to recall their system's metal cup.
